About Us

Susan Tranbaugh Spinell is principal at STS Art Advisory. For more than 15 years, Susan has been dedicated to advancing the careers of artists. Through fundraising and program development roles at arts nonprofit organizations including Creative Capital and Art in General, Susan has cultivated deep connections across various sectors of the art world. This career experience gives Susan unique insights into the art market and empowers her clients to make well-informed and confident decisions when acquiring artwork. Earlier in her career, Susan was a museum educator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She holds a BA in History from Colgate University and an MA in Museum Studies & Education from Bank Street College.

Susan is currently based in Mill Valley, CA where she advocates every day for the transformative power of contemporary art.
